SIMBL Install Failed

I recently upgraded my mini from OS X 10.11.5 to OS X 10.11.6 and I am now getting a message box stating:

"SIMBL install failed. Something went wrong, probably System Integrity Protection"

the console contains the following entries:

9/27/16 9:44:45.139 AM com.apple.xpc.launchd[1]: (net.culater.SIMBL.Agent) Please switch away from OnDemand to KeepAlive.

Webroot is an antivirus package.

anyone have an idea what the problem might be?

thanks

Hello guys,

I have the same problem after upgrading my MacMini from Sierra to High Sierra, but i think that the problem was in this that i have install cDoc on my Mac Mini mid 2011 (for you may be some other app), wich needed to disable System Integrity Protection (SIP) for completing installation and reenable it after installation. That what solved the problem for me was:

1. Rebooted with Cmd-R - this will run system recovery;

2. Run Utility -> Terminal and write in prompt "csrutil disable" (whitout quotes) and hit Enter - this will disable SIP;

3. Close terminal and System recovery with restart;

3. Boot normally for completing installation (My Mac Mini ask me for my admin password to completed some install stuff);

4. I rebooted normally to confirm that the message was disappeared after restarting;

5. Finally I reenable System Integrity Protection -> Rebooted with Cmd-R will this run system recovery;

6. Run Terminal and write at prompt "csrutil enable" (whitout quotes) and hit Enter;

7. Close terminal and close System recovery with restart;

8. Boot normally without Error message ;-)

I hope this helps for you :-)
